![]() October 18-24, 2015 has been designated as Teen Read Week by the Young Adult Library Services Association. To celebrate and encourage recreational reading and library use, the ALC is giving away a 7" Kindle Fire (not HD)! At the same time, we are hosting a canned food drive for the Rock Springs Loaves and Fishes Soup Kitchen. 1 canned food item = 1 ticket into the drawing. Maximun 5 items per day. Another way you can enter the drawing is to bring in a gently used children's books (no more than 10 years old) which will then be given to a local children's organization. Book donations will be similar to canned food items: 1 book=1 ticket, max. 5 per day. Monetary donations will be accepted to be sent to Books for Soldiers, a non-profit organization that sends books to military personnel overseas or stateside. Monetary donations will be $1=1 ticket or $5=7 tickets with a $5 donation limit per day. Donations will begin Monday, Oct. 19 and continue until Friday, Oct. 23. Drawing will be held Oct. 26.
